On 2nd Tuesdays at 7 Mile House, Andrew, along with bassist and SF State faculty, Michael Zisman hosts the Master & Student Nights where students, alumni and professors jam together in a uniquely fun, relaxed atmosphere for all generations to enjoy!

About Andrew Speight...

After touring with Nat Adderley, Joe Williams, and Louie Bellson, alto saxophonist Andrew Speight, came to the U.S. in 1991 to compete in the prestigious Thelonius Monk International Saxophone Competition, where he was the only non-American finalist.

Since then, Andrew has worked with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Milt Hinton, Branford Marsalis, Jimmy Cobb, and countless others in performances all over the world. These days, he is an invaluable asset to the Bay Area jazz scene and a professor of Jazz Studies at San Francisco State University and, of course, as one of the core faculty members at SJW....

Michael Zisman is best known as the leader of the Americano Social Club. He is also frequently featured as a special guest with a wide variety of jazz, gypsy jazz, indie and classical artists. Michael has earned a reputation as one of the best resources for the region's top event and wedding coordinators thanks in large part to his ability to assemble and direct a duo, trio, quartet or larger group that's an ideal match for the unique style, mood and venue of each client and event he works with.
