About
Jazz in the Neighborhood presents John Schott and his trio. Trios, whether built around a saxophone, piano or guitar, have always had a special place in the jazz pantheon -- the format requires virtuoso listening and real spontaneity. The Actual Trio, consisting of John Schott, guitar; Dan Seamans, double bass; and John Hanes, drums, will be performing Schott's memorable and intricate compositions, including cuts from their debut CD on John Zorn's Tzadik label, out September 18. These guys swing hard, play from the heart, and seek to uplift their audiences.
