Houston Person is the recipient of numerous Grammy nominations and the Eubie Blake Jazz Award and is known for his 30-year collaboration with vocalist Etta Jones. Person has performed on the albums of such luminaries as Lena Horne and Lou Rawls and Kendrick Lamar sampled Person’s music for his CD Mortal Man.

As a young artist, Denise Perrier was discovered by Louis Armstrong singing in San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel. She was hired for his Las Vegas review then built a career traveling the world performing at festivals and venues large and small, thrilling audiences with her sultry contralto voice and emotional interpretations of the lyrics. Perrier is a special guest at the August 9 performance.
