Kim Nalley With Houston Person at Feinstein's At The Nikko

Locally adored and Internationally acclaimed jazz and blues singer, Kim Nalley comes to Feinstein's At the Nikko for a two week engagement. Nalley will lend her three and a half octave range to a memorable set of jazz and blues standards. She was a “Rising Star” nominee in the 2017 Downbeat Critics Poll and her latest CD Blues People received rave reviews in the San Francisco Chronicle and on NPR. She is the founder of the Kim Nalley Black Youth Jazz Scholarship.

Houston Person is the recipient of numerous Grammy nominations and the Eubie Blake Jazz Award and is known for his 30-year collaboration with vocalist Etta Jones. As a young artist, Denise Perrier was discovered by Louis Armstrong singing in San Francisco’s Fairmont Hotel. She was hired for his Las Vegas review then built a career traveling the world performing at festivals and venues large and small, thrilling audiences with her sultry contralto voice and emotional interpretations of the lyrics. Perrier is a special guest at the August 9 performance.
