GRAMMY® nominated pianist and composer Manuel Valera returns to the Bach after his 2015 debut with Dafnis Prieto’s sextet. Born in Cuba, the New York-based Valera has established himself as a regular on the NYC modern jazz scene. The Manuel Valera Trio provides a refreshing take on Cuban music, as well as interpretations of jazz standards and previously recorded original compositions. The Trio’s music fuses elements of straight-ahead, Latin jazz, and R&B to create a very personal sound with a broad appeal.
