With his acclaimed debut album Completely, New York pianist, keyboardist, composer, and producer Michael Gallant wasn’t afraid to break the rules of the traditional piano trio format, melding jazz and grunge rock, electric and acoustic elements into an aural alchemy that has caught the ears of fans and critics alike. The next step? Bring it to the west coast.

For the fourth date of his current Fall tour, Gallant will return to his former hometown of San Francisco, performing at Red Poppy Art House on Thursday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. He will reunite on stage with renowned Bay area bassist Andrew Higgins, with whom Gallant has recorded multiple times, and other guests to be announced. Red Poppy Art House is located at 2698 Folsom Street in San Francisco’s Mission neighborhood. Admission is a $10-$15 suggested donation. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and seating is limited.
