Get ready to dance! Led by pianist Christian Tumalan and trumpeter Steffen Kuehn, the Pacific Mambo Orchestra rejuvenates the Latin big band sounds of the 1940s through the 1960s, recalling the legendary works of Machito and Tito Puente. Their arrangements and original compositions proceed at an energetic pace, creating a special kind of excitement that can only be delivered by a true Latin Big Band. The first set will have us dancing in our seats – then we throw open the doors and the concert room transforms into a full dance floor for the second set.
