Marcus Cohen’s The Congress brings a sound steeped in funk, hip-hop and jazz. The Congress features Cohen on trumpet, Anthony Blea on violin, Rafa Postel on trumpet, Tony Peebles on saxophones, Daniel Riera on woodwinds, Marcus McCauley on piano, Khalil Doak-Anthony on guitar, Misha Khalikulov on cello, Mark Allen-Piccolo and Raúl Perales on bass, John “Omayga” Adams III and Jayme Arredondo on drums with Vocalists Valerie Troutt, Crystal Monee Hall, Tiffany Austin with hiphop lyricist MicBlake.
The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival presents over 90 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry and children’s programs.
