Jazz in the Neighborhood is proud to present a night of music from drummer Hamir Atwal, guitarist Jeff Massanari and bassist Ollie Dudek at the intimate Coso Studio in Fairfax.
Atwal is a Berklee College of Music graduate who has taught at Music Academy International, Stanford University, the Stanford Jazz Workshop and the JazzSchool and can regularly be heard throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Atwal is a Berklee College of Music graduate who has taught at Music Academy International, Stanford University, the Stanford Jazz Workshop and the JazzSchool and can regularly be heard throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Jeff has performed with many of the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier artists including vocalists, Paula West, Brenda Boykin, Denise Perrier, Nicholas Beard, Kenny Washington and Pamela Rose and has taught at U.C. Berkeley, The Jazz School, and Jazz Camp West to name a few. Ollie spent much of his time studying music at San Francisco State University and it is at this time where he began to immerse him self into music played at local jazz clubs. His stylistic influences revolve mainly around the musical genres of swing, blues, bebop, afro cuban and classical.
