Brooklyn based pianist Richard Sears possesses an original voice as an improvisor and composer. His composition has been recognized by grants from the Aaron Copland Fund and the Los Angeles Jazz Society.
As a performer, Richard has appeared with the Billy Hart Quartet (ft. Mark Turner and Ben Street), the Muhal Richard Abrams Orchestra, Joshua Redman, Chick Corea, Ralph Alessi, Eric Revis, and others.
His most recent release, “Altadena”, features the legendary drummer, Albert “Tootie” Heath performing with Richard’s sextet. “Altadena” earned 4 stars in Downbeat Magazine, naming it one of the Best Albums of 2017. Martin Nevin is a composer and double bassist originally from Los Angeles, currently based in NYC.
In 2006, Martin received a scholarship to attend Manhattan School of Music, where he studied bass with Jay Anderson and David Grossman, and composition with Michael Patterson. Since then he has performed and/or recorded with notable artists such as Albert “Tootie” Heath, Billy Hart, Greg Osby, Jason Moran, Ambrose Akinmusire, Ethan Iverson, and Aaron Parks, in venues across the U.S and abroad.
In May 2017, Martin earned a Masters degree from Columbia University in Music Education. In November 2017, Martin was awarded a grant by the Jerome Fund for New Music, awarded by the American Composers Forum.

Parisian drummer Guilhem Flouzat is gaining attention and praise throughout the jazz community: drummer Dan Weiss calls him ‟one of the most talented young drummers I have met”, composer and pianist Dan Tepfer says he is ‟an accomplished composer with an original and fresh conception of development within a piece”.
His collaborations have led him to play at jazz landmarks such as Smalls, Jazz Gallery, Zinc Bar, and 55 Bar in New York, Sunside in Paris, Sounds and Music Village in Brussels, and Jz Club in Shanghai.
As a sideman, he has collaborated with guitarist Lionel Loueke, multi reed player Steve Wilson, bassist Linda Oh, and saxophonist Ben Wendel.
A Fulbright scholar, Guilhem Flouzat went from the National Conservatory in Paris (CNSMDP) to the Manhattan School of Music, where he is currently a full scholarship Bachelor Degree candidate studying with John Riley. Other drum teachers include Bill Stewart and Eric Harland.
