Wayne De La Cruz began his musical endeavors at the age of 9 with a set of drums and playing along with records and the radio. While in Jr. High his father bought him a used vibraphone that he began playing in the school jazz band. While in High school at the age of 14 he made the move to the keyboard and began playing organ and piano. He settled on keyboards as his main instrument and got his first Hammond organ when he was 16. Since then he's been a working musician in the S.F. Bay area and Sonoma Co. He is a performing sideman, leader, composer and arranger. Because of his passion for the Hammond organ, after many years of compromising the Hammond sound using a variety of keyboards, in 2003 he decided to bring the Hammond B-3 back to the forefront. As a result he is now performing on it more than ever in the classic and modern organ trio style.
