Recently hailed for his 2014 Grammy® win with tropical band Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Lington continuously gives back to the community as long-standing department chair of San Jose State University’s Jazz Studies program, and as current Director of the San Jose Jazz High School All Stars. He was named a 2015 Artist Laureate by regional arts organization Silicon Valley Creates.
