In 1991, saxophonist Eric Alexander stormed onto the New York jazz scene with a huge sound and an astonishing mastery of jazz. The quartet he brings to SJW this year features similar East Coast high-fliers including drummer Louis Hayes, trombonist Steve Davis, trumpeter Brian Lynch and Eric’s former teacher, piano giant Harold Mabern.
