Charged Particles With Special Guest Saxophonist Tod Dickow “a Tribute To Michael Brecker” at Campbell Recital Hall

This concert celebrates the music of iconic tenor saxophonist Michael Brecker, whose unique voice and approach to the instrument has influenced every performing jazz artist today. He was awarded some of the highest honors in jazz: winner of 15 Grammys, an Honorary Doctorate from the Berkeley College of Music, and induction into Down Beat magazine's Hall of Fame – all before his untimely death at age 57.

Bay Area saxophonist Tod Dickow and the Stanford-based Charged Particles Trio will perform a wide swath of Brecker's music from several eras, spotlighting his sparkling compositions and technical virtuosity.
