After a hiatus beginning in 1987, ConFunkShun resumed performing in the 1990s, releasing a series of live albums and studio remasters. Sampled by countless R&B and hip-hop artists, traces of their hits can be heard on a wide variety of albums. Their 2014 record More Than Love smoothly adapts to a modern studio sound while retaining the funky drive of their early efforts. From the Tokyo Cotton Club to Atlanta’s Omni Theatre, ConFunkShun is still making audiences dance around the globe.
