SARATOGA, Calif, - January 21, 2014 – Today, the south bay-based big band, Nineteen, directed by Eric Bolvin, announced a guest artist concert featuring the talents of multi-platinum recording artist, Frank Martin, on Saturday, February 22nd , at the Theatre on San Pedro Square in San Jose, California, at 8:00 p.m.

Frank Martin has performed, produced and/or recorded with a wide variety of artists in genres ranging from jazz to orchestral to popular music. As a northern California native, his versatile career has found him performing with everyone from Herbie Hancock, Stanley Jordan, and Dizzy Gillespie, to Sting, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Elton John, Lady Gaga, The San Francisco Symphony, The New York Philharmonic Orchestra, and Bruce Springsteen. He owns a San Rafael-based recording studio, and arranger/production credits have included the likes of Al Jarreau, Angela Bofill, Tuck & Patti, Hiram Bullock, Randy Brecker, and Alex Acuna....

Teaching is one of his passions, and Frank serves as a governor for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) and is an adjunct Faculty member in the Jazz Department of the University of California at Berkeley, as well as on staff at the Berkeley Jazz School.
