Count Basie nicknamed her “Stride”, acknowledging the command with which she plays this technically and physically demanding jazz piano style. Carmichael’s latest album, I Love Being Here With You, is her first vocal album, exploring her love of witty lyrics, ballads and Broadway standards. Carmichael will be joined by guitarist Larry Koonse on this concert date.
