Since that day in 2004, Kyle has played with blues greats such as James Cotton, Norton Buffalo, Roy Rogers, Tommy Castro and Charlie Musselwhite, and performed at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, California State Fair and Monterey Blues Festival. Kyle was named Blues Harmonica of the Year and Blues New Artist of the Year at the 2009 West Coast Blues Hall of Fame & Awards show, and released his first CD, Kyle Rowland: Messin’ with the Kid, a Tribute to my Blues Heroes, that same year. Rowland recently played at our very own San Jose Jazz Summer Fest this past August.
