McCoy Tyner helped forge the modal jazz sound, his trademark sound appearing on John Coltrane's "My Favorite Things" and other Coltrane albums in the early 60s. Tyner has released more than 70 albums on his own. The quartet explores some of Tyner's compositions and arrangements that have that Latin tinge, played alongside Michelle Pollace's critically acclaimed original works.
