Have you ever heard "Blackbird” from the Beatles sung as if it were sung in a church in Birmingham, Alabama? Or, have you ever heard "My Funny Valentine" sung as a funk ballad? Moy Eng specializes in reinterpretations of the American Songbook; from “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to “This Masquerade,” her music is both familiar and new to all.
Band mates include Spencer Chan on piano, Steve Cameron on drums, Doug Pohorski on bass, and Steve Nakano on horns, percussion and vocals.
