brand of Afro-Cuban jazz, earning seven Grammy nominations along the way. Dedicated to the folkloric roots of Cuba, Sosa’s contemporary harmonic structures and Latin polyrhythms produce a sound both innovative and accessible. Sosa will be bringing his new Quarteto AfroCubano in support of his recent CD release “ILE”, featuring Cuban drummer Ernesto Simpson. The band also includes longtime mates Childo Tomas on electric bass, and Leandro Saint-Hill on saxophones and flute.
