You may have heard Tia Fuller, a gifted alto saxophonist/flutist, play with a variety of performers in the jazz and pop world. She has been a featured soloist with Nancy Wilson, Jon Faddis, Sean Jones, and pop diva Beyoncé. But when leading her own quartet, her dynamic sound, inspired by Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane, is set free to explore all the elements of bop, swing, gospel, Brazilian and funk, burnished by her energetic presentation. Fuller has three recordings out under her own name, the latest being the critically praised Decisive Steps (Mack Avenue). Most recently, she was named Musical Director for Esperanza Spalding’s eagerly awaited Radio Music Society tour....
