Third Annual Silicon Valley Composer Showcase
For the third year, composers from Silicon Valley are invited to submit their compositions to San Jose Jazz. A panel of three judges will perform a blind selection of the compositions selecting the 10-12 compositions to be heard at the Showcase. The music will be performed by the Full Spectrum Jazz big band with the composers joining the band in some cases. For the last two years, this competition produced some of the most exciting music heard at the series.

Performance styles range from laid-back Count Basie swing to poly-rhythmic modern Latin.
