These two dynamic trios take very different approaches, but there’s no denying that they’ll deliver an evening of excitement. Jeb Patton’s unit is the quintessential swinging jazz trio; Jeb and bassist David Wong have toured extensively with legendary jazz artists such as the Heath Brothers; they’re joined tonight by the incredibly versatile Eric Harland on drums. Colombian percussionist Tupac Mantilla, Cuban bassist Yunior Terry, and Chilean guitarist Camila Meza are liable to go in any musical direction imaginable. Award-winning Chilean saxophonist Melissa Aldana joins both trios as a special guest artist, providing an exciting bridge between the familiar and the unexpected.
