Danilo Perez is well-known for his longtime associations with Dizzy Gillespie, and more recently, Wayne Shorter. His tasteful keyboard skills have also accompanied Michael Brecker, Jack DeJohnette, Tito Puente, and Roy Haynes. Danilo's concept for PanaMonk originally began as an exploration of pianist/composer Thelonious Monk's music.
