Santa Barbara Jazz Society, Kim Richmond, Kimberly Ford at SOhO Restaurant & Music Club

The Santa Barbara Jazz Society presents The Kim Richmond Sextet featuring vocalist Kimberly Ford on July 9 from 1 to 4pm at SOhO. The band will be paying tribute to jazz giant, Herbie Hancock and vocalist and composer, Joni Mitchell. Richmond, a well known jazz educator’s primary jazz voice is the tenor sax, but plays all the saxes as well as clarinet and flute. He has been involved with nearly every facet of the music industry, both as a player and as a composer/arranger and has been a member of the orchestras of Stan Kenton, Louis Bellson, Bob Florence, Bill Holman, Vinny Golia and others. Kimberly Ford, a well known resident of Santa Barbara, is also a committed jazz educator as well as a fine performer. Both singing and speaking, her voice can be heard on numerous films and TV shows.
