It’s the annual return of the Operation Jazz Band artists, Babatunde Lea and Friends. Throughout the previous week, they’ve been helping local secondary school children in Healdsburg understand the underpinnings of jazz in their classrooms.

On this night they play for the public, an always-popular show including Azar Lawrence (tenor sax), Tiffany Austin (vocals), Angela Wellman (trombone), Joel Behrman (trumpet), Gary Brown (bass) and Frank Martin (piano), as well as the charismatic Babatunde Lea on percussion. Concert ticket sales help support Healdsburg Jazz’s Music in the Schools programs.
