Both professional musicians and local music educators, saxophonist Bennett Friedman and drummer Lorca Hart have been collaborating for ten years. Specializing in jazz standards from Bop through Jazz/Rock and Latin Jazz, the Friedman/Hart Quartet also features organist Brian Ho and guitarist Jack Riordan.

Jazz in the Neighborhood has partnered with Copperfield's Books for this free concert series at Copperfield's bookstores in Healdsburg, San Rafael, Santa Rosa, and Novato. Renowned jazz musicians will share the stage with aspiring young players from local schools to carry on the jazz tradition of “learning on the bandstand.”
