Heralded as one of the Bay Area’s most powerful blues and soul singers of recent vintage, Terrie Odabi will lend this year’s festival some blues cred and sassy heat. Her band the Evolution Blues, which includes guitarist Terry Hiatt, keyboardist Ken Cook, bassist Kirk Crumpler, and drummer William Norwood, supplies a steamy and soulful backdrop for the singer-songwriter phenom that is Odabi, whom acclaimed trombonist Steve Turre - an occasional collaborator with Odabi - decreed her a "... jewel from the Bay Area."
