Miles & More

The first idea for my site was to offer an overview of Miles Davis' rare interviews I'd collected during the last 20 years. In the course of time I added a bibliography, a discography, and two galleries of pictures I'd taken at two of Miles' concerts in Europe.

Then I added a Pat Metheny section to my site. I had kept track of his career starting with his very first recording “Bright Size Life” for ECM. Meanwhile (and after Miles' death) Pat had become my “new hero” in jazz. The Pat Metheny section offers a collection of more than 70 interviews since 1976. My latest project is a collection of “official” sites of improvising musicians as well as of bands, which are organized in two indexes which are linked to each other. This project is a work in progress and will be so, as I'm a one man show only.

You'll also find some link collections to festivals, labels, jazz clubs, magazines, and photographers. These collections are no longer maintained very well due to the fact that the musicians and bands indexes are a very time consuming project. But I'll try to keep the list of photographers up to date as good as I can.
