Zachary Caplinger is a gifted guitarist who actively performs southern bluegrass music and contemporary jazz throughout southern California. A native to the Inland Empire, Zach was born into a musical family. When he was eight years old, he began playing bluegrass guitar under the instruction of his father, Dennis Caplinger, a Grammy award winning bluegrass artist. Zachary Caplinger is a gifted guitarist who actively performs southern bluegrass music and contemporary jazz throughout southern California. Zach has also played with such famous jazz musicians as Francisco Torres, Bill Cunliffe, Joey Sellers, and Freda Payne. Zachary's unique style of music is a wonderful reflection of his experience having played with those highly acclaimed musicians. Thus, he was invited to play at the UNC Jazz Festival, Western States Jazz Festival, the Newport Beach Jazz Party, and the Jazz Education Network Conference in San Diego.

On December 8th, on the DVAC stage, The Zach Caplinger Jazz Quartet will perform a diverse repertoire of jazz standards as well as some of Zach's original compositions and arrangements.
General admission is $20. DVAC members are $15. All tickets are available at www.thedvac.org or by stopping by The DVAC Wednesdays through Saturdays 11 am to 5 pm. The concert begins at 7:00 pm, but doors open about 6:30 pm.
