Set during a traditional Moon Festival, a performance on the versatile Erhu, or "two-stringed Chinese violin" will be the highlight of an evening of culture and tradition. Celebrate the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox at the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden. Bring a picnic and enjoy wine, delicious appetizers, and traditional treats including Tsukimi Dango (moon viewing dumplings) and Chinese mooncakes.

The newly restored hilltop path that completes the walk around the garden will be dedicated to Moon viewing, and if we are lucky--from the highest point on the path--we might see the evening's guest of honor among the stars....
