BILL GREEN MENTORSHIP PROGRAM DATE AND TIME OF MENTORSHIP CONCERT CHANGED!We apologize for the changes howeverdue to a conflict, the Bill Green Mentorship Concertwill be held SUNDAY, MARCH 17th5:30pm Check-in7:00pm Student Band & Mentors Performances AT CATALINAS JAZZ CLUB IN HOLLYWOODNamed in the memory of the great saxophonist and jazz educator, the Bill Green Mentorship Program was initiated in 1988 to supplement the education of promising young jazz students and to encourage their development as future professional jazz artists. This program boasts an impressive roster of graduates who are successful performing musicians. Over 30 selected music students are receiving 5 weeks of mentorship lessons in advanced music techniques from professional musicians. The final workshop is a professional recording session with each student receiving a CD of the session. Students and mentors subsequently perform in a jazz concert, to be held at Catalinas Jazz Club in Hollywood on March 24th.Join us and celebrate the graduates of the Bill Green Mentorship Program for 2024 - two big bands of students, and a short set by their mentors.
