CD RELEASE PARTY! Cathy’s 13th CD, “Straight Ahead To the U.K.”, will be celebrated at her favorite House Concert Venue in Highland Park. Expect a really cool hang! This is actually Cathy’s first “straight ahead” recording project. Brought to England a few years back, alto player Andy MacIntosh produced a recording with some of the U.K.’s best musicians. Invited for the ride to guest was ECM vocal artist Norma Winstone! This year, arranger/bassist/producer John Leftwich came on the project and together, Cathy and John finished it! Scheduled for release in early October, this party is a timely happening. A seven piece band and a great hang will be happening!!!...
