The City of Santa Monica presents its 5th annual Día de los Muertos event celebrating the cycle of life and the remembrance of ancestors on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 12 noon to 4pm. The event includes traditions that are part of this ceremony both in Mexico and in the United States. The event will feature music and dance performances by Ballet Folklorico of Los Angeles, Cambalache - Son Jarocho Music, and Ketzalitzli and will be emcee'd by Betto Arcos. Activities include a procession and ceremonial blessing, which will open the event, music and dance performances, craft workshops where you can create offerings for loved ones, storytelling and a documentary about how families in Mexico prepare for this holiday...
