Fingerstyle Guitar Masters at Old St. Hilary’s Landmark

Guitarists Steve Baughman, Doug Young, and Teja Gerken are among the most acclaimed representatives of the fingerstyle guitar genre, a loosely defined style that includes influences of folk, jazz, classical, and contemporary music. Steve is one of the worlds finest Celtic guitarists, and he also applies his unique touch (often employing banjo-style clawhammer technique) to American old-time and fiddle tunes.Teja and Doug recently released their album Duets, of which Acoustic Guitar magazine says, "Duets represents modern fingerstyle at the highest level." At Old St. Hilarys, Teja and Doug will highlight their duet repertoire, though both are likely to play some solo pieces as well. Steve will perform a solo set, with the concert concluding with several trio performances.
