Come and dance to the lively tunes of Heliotrope Ragtime Orchestra. They began as a "vintage dance band" 14 years ago, playing and singing ragtime era (1890-1920) tunes with an emphasis on the authentic period sounds of Scott Joplin, James Scott, and Joe Lamb among others. It has since expanded its repertoire to include numbers from the 20s, adding composers like King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, and Jelly Roll Morton.
