Bassist Mackenzie Leighton present his new trio, featuring Jarien Jamanilla on alto saxophone and Matthew Smith on drums. This group is inspired by the lineage of sax, bass, and drums trios, a format that allows greater freedom for all three instruments. The group's repertoire includes original music, classic jazz tunes, and a few unconventional covers.Â
