About
A new incarnation of the Neil Kelly Quartet will perform eclectic world jazz at the Community School of Music and Arts. This cutting edge jazz group will perform works including Lukas Vesely’s “prayer to Africa,” Neil Kelly’s suite “Landscape” based on a post modern poem about the Martian landscape, Kenny Kirkland’s “Dienda”, and Pink Floyd’s “Let There Be More Light.” This concert features CSMA instructor and multi-instrumentalist Dan Magay, Lukas Vesely on bass, and Joe Derose on drums and percussion. Special guest Mina Kelly will add a layer of spoken word poetry to the improvisations on “Landscape” and watch out for a special appearance from Tenor Sax extraordinaire Jonathan Bautista.
