After pairing up with her guitar-playing husband Matt Hill, the duo have made an unstoppable team. With a no-filter energy, Hill and her band take all the flavors of American roots music and deliver a sound that just rings true. The group includes Hills’s gritty, raw voice and Stax soul dynamics, driving rhythm guitar from Matt Hill, and a tight rhythm section provided by Ed Strohsahl and Joe Meyer.


Hill’s self-titled EP, released in June 2012, created a heavy and sudden international underground buzz that’s helped the band travel across the country and abroad. Those 4 tunes, penned by Hill herself, proved that the group has an energy that appeals to any listener who is ready to dance, drawing crowds from every avenue at their shows. Her latest, Here’s Nikki Hill, was released in 2013.
