He is a self-taught jazz guitar player. Heโs played with Janice Lakers, Phil Abraham, Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Bert Joris, John Ruocco, Dave Pike, Slide Hampton, Philip Catherine, Toots Thielemansโฆ
Leads his own groups with John Ruocco (CD โWaitingโ with also Billy HART) or โODE FOR JOEโ. Peter Hertmans teaches guitar, ensemble and musical theory at the Royal Brussels Conservatory and at the Lemmens Instituut in Leuven.
