La Sierra University’s Pierce Street Jazz series will feature Los Angeles saxophonist Javier Vergara along with Henry Franklin, bass, Theo Saunders, piano, and Marvin Smith, drums on Wed., Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. Vergara has played and recorded with a roster of famed talent including Carol Burnett, Francisco Aguabella and Poncho Sanchez, and performed for major events such as Singapore’s Jazztec and the International Association of Jazz Educators.
