Poncho Sanchez will be bringing Latin Soul to the Jacobs Center on Friday, June 20th. For more than two decades this artist has creating music and received a Grammy award as Best Latin Album. He’s laid a blazing trail of hits after releasing albums such as Soul of the Conga, Latin Spirits, Out of Sight, Do It, Raise Your Hand, and hard bop-influenced Psychedelic Blues.
Next week, he’ll be in San Diego as part of the Jacobs Presents Concert Series playing a fiery blend of straight ahead jazz, gritty soul music, and infectious melodies & rhythms from a variety of Latin American and South American sources....
