Youth ALIVE! is an Oakland-based non-profit agency founded in 1991 dedicated to preventing youth violence and developing youth leadership. Their Teens on Target program (TNT) trains young people from violent neighborhoods to teach violence prevention workshops to middle school students and to become advocates for positive change in their community. Their Caught in the Crossfire program provides support to youth who are hospitalized due to gunshots or other violent injuries, in order to reduce retaliation, re-injury, and arrest.
