Her father Bay Area Jazz legend, Smith Dobson and mother, San Francisco native music educator and jazz vocalist Gail Dobson. Sasha brother and hero, multi-instrumentalist, Smith Dobson Jr will be a featured artist on this show.Sasha will be sharing a hybrid of original music and a few jazz standards. Trading instruments with her brother Smith Dobson and even debuting some of the newest songs written for her forth coming album.FRANCO NERO—Franco Nero Pays tribute to Don Drummond and his compositions, helping to keep Ska alive. Bandleader and trombonist Scott Larson founded the band out of a long standing love and respect for traditional Jamaican music. Franco Nero combines the music of Ska, Rock Steady and Reggae to provide a wide range of musical traditions. Franco Nero is comprised of some of the finest Bay Area musicians who bring their improvisational skills, along with hard-driving beats, to push the traditions of Ska.
