The Sheldon Brown Sextet presents "Love, Gloom, Cash, Love" by pianist/composer Herbie Nichols.
Composer and woodwind multi-instrumentalist Sheldon Brown has been studying the music of brilliant composer-pianist Herbie Nichols for years. This concert is dedicated to Nichols’ 1957 album "Love, Gloom, Cash, Love."
Joining Brown in this exploration will be Ben Goldberg, clarinet and bass clarinet; Darren Johnston, trumpet; Matt Clark, piano; John Shifflett, bass; and Jason Lewis, drums.
