Terrence Brewer / Whitney James at Poplar Playhouse: Berkeley House Concerts

Multi-Award winning jazz guitarist, and SF Bay area resident, Terrence Brewer and acclaimed vocalist Whitney James will play a concert at the intimate listening venue, ‘Poplar Playhouse’ on Sunday, April 8th at 4pm. Joining Brewer and James will be in-demand bassist, Doug Ebert, an acclaimed bandleader and composer in his own right. The afternoon’s concert will also be recorded for an upcoming edition of KCSM’s long-running program “In The Moment” with host Jim Bennett.

Brewer and James met in 2008 when Brewer was on tour in Florida with his Trio supporting his album QuintEssential (#15 on the national JazzWeek Radio Charts). Brewer and James hit it off quickly striking up a friendship over their mutual love of jazz and the fact that James has SF Bay area roots.
