Skyline Hot Club is a band formed by Kevan Smedt and Jason Bellenkes through their mutual love of swing music and the music of Django Reinhardt. The band, including Nelsen Hutchison and Danny Gerz, plays a wide variety of music from the swing and jazz era, creative arrangements of pop music favorites, and some modern jazz songs. The band all comes from a background in playing modern jazz and bebop, bringing the language of Charlie Parker and beyond into the early swing and la pompe tradition. The group hails from different sides of the Santa Cruz mountains, which Skyline Boulevard runs through, hence Skyline Hot Club....

Joining Skyline Hot Club will be Swedens Queen of swing, Gunhild Carling, who had performed for the king of Sweden and toured with the Count Basie Big band, in addition to her own big band and as a feature in numerous videos with Post Modern Jukebox.
