Next Generation Festival - Presented by the Monterey Jazz Festival

This inspiring weekend devoted to the future of jazz featured MJF's Annual National High School Jazz Competition, including high school big bands, combos, and vocal ensembles, as well as divisions for middle school, college, and conglomerate bands.

The Next Generation Festival also offered free concerts and clinics, and hosted auditions for MJF’s Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, which perfors at the Monterey Jazz Festival each year MJF and in a North American and European performance tour.
