The Oakland Public Conservatory of Music (OPC) is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Catch the Vibe” music series, a fundraising initiative supporting the “Brick by Brick, Note by Note” campaign to build a new state-of-the-art facility in Old Oakland. This innovative series kicked off with an unforgettable performance by the Steve Turre/Jon Faddis Quintet featuring Roy McCurdy on February 7th.
“Catch the Vibe” is a one-of-a-kind music experience aimed at showcasing world-class musicians while raising funds for OPC's new facility. The new space will provide unparalleled music education experiences and a fully equipped performance venue where students, musicians, and music enthusiasts of all ages can learn, perform, and appreciate music.
